There was a scan in the "Female Scans" category. It ranked high in
popularity, but it was deleted.
The only thing I can do at this point is describe the picture, but if nothing
comes up in the next two days, I'll post a bad MS-Paint rendition to jog
people's memories...
The woman has long brown hair. Her hat and top seem to come from a modern
military uniform, but her clothing below the waist is black lingerie. She wears
two different styles of gloves, one for each hand, and she apparently wields a
sword (which she holds behind her back). More subtle details include a ribbon in
her hair, and a pink ribbon coming from the hilt of the sword.
The drawing itself looks rather dated, perhaps coming from the late 90s, and its
apparently the cover of something called, "Rule Book". Also, there's a
ballet shoe in the background. Don't know what to make of that....
Yeah... I've been noticing that moderation does help matters a bunch. "Use
common sense"... "Tone down the act". I do overdo it many times,
and I know... it makes people feel uncomfortable. I even think it feels old
doing random stuff all the time. "Be normal".
Thanks again, but still:
Why did everyone decide to jump on this thread 2 weeks after it was posted? Do
you guys coordinate your posts or something?
Ok, it may be too soon to pose this question, but I was wondering about the
qualities that the Akatsuki members have in common. Knowing this can help
explain why the group takes the actions it does, why members join, etc. I've
made a couple of observations:
The characters:
- Left their villages on their own free will
- Have some sort of unfair natural advantages/mutations over other ninja (Zetsu,
Itachi, Hoshikage, Diedre) - though Sasori is an exception because he attained
his puppet powers through works.
- Seek some form of immortality - Sasori came close by converting himself into a
puppet, while Hidan achieved it through his twisted practices of Buddhism.
- Seek the powers of the 9 chakra demons.
Of course, we don't know all the Akatsuki's members, and we are still missing
information. Are there any other thoughts/cool observations/corrections about
Akastuki?
Just as an aside, here are the members we know, in order of appearance:
Itachi (M. Sharingan)
Hoshikage (The Shark Guy, lots of Chakra, possibly already a Jinchuuruki
(sp?))
Zetsu (Venus-Fly-Trap)
Deidara (Clay Sculptures)
Sasori (Deceased Puppet Master)
Tobi (Spiral Mask)
Hidan (Cannot be killed)
Kakuzu (Treasurer)
What I am about to say may be very, very confusing.
I always thought that Shinigami were manifestations of cosmic forces, or the
will of the Universe, created as a natural reaction to keep the Universe in
balance. When a shinigami dies, that cosmic force/program ends and fades into
oblivion. Shinigami may be analogous to the Agents in "The Matrix":
programs designed to keep the goings on in the computer world in line. Every
decision that a shinigami makes, even treachery, is simply a shinigami doing
what it's supposed to do to keep the balance of souls... balanced. Ok, that's my
theory on the death of a Shinigami: a fading into oblivion.
As for humans, I agree to the fact that when one dies in soul society, he/she
gets reincarnated on Earth in order to maintain the balance of souls. But, what
happens when a soul is eaten by a hollow, and what about sinful souls going to
Hell (Think: very beginning of the series)? Don't those two things throw the
whole balance deal off?
And yet, Sasuke would be satisfied with that end. He stated, "If giving my
body to Orochimaru means killing Itachi, I would give my life over and over
again." Or something along those lines.
Insanity, your question does make sense when phrased correctly... it reminds me:
wasn't there a curse associated with attaining Mangekyou Sharingan? Killing
one's best friend in order to fulfill the requirement must lead that person into
a curse.
Alright. Thanks, guys. Yes, I heard that people don't get along because they
fear things they don't understand.
Am I smart... well, I wouldn't exactly say no, would I?
But to contradict that statement... "Being normal". That idea never
actually crossed my mind! Whoa!
Anyways, I did manage to reconcile with those people. It turns out I can hang
out with those people when they're drunk.
Recently, an entire college hall drove me out because I "made them feel
uncomfortable". I just thought it was funny. I mean... I dug my own grave
on this one: with the "laughing, 'ITS ALIVE! ITS ALIVE ITS ALIVE ITS
ALIVE!' when I get a homework problem done in the middle of the library"
thing, or the "sitting in another hall's common room when nobody's
there" thing, and the "snicker in an evil manner for no apparent
reason when you walk by me" thing.
But when you've been alienated, it stops being funny reeaaallly quick. So how to
I reconcile with these people? (I purposely made this one open-ended)
I believe that GIMP is too hard to use, and I am too cheap to use photoshop off
campus. I would suggest Paint.net as a free alternative. It's paint that eats
like Photoshop.
Yeah... I recently saw Ong Bak: Thai Warrior, and it seemed the movie had the
singular objective of establishing Muay Thai as the predominant martial arts
style in the world. The scene that really got my juices flowing was when Ting
(played by Jaa) defeated peacemeal a person who used Jeet Kun Do.
Incidentally, Bruce Lee used Jeet Kun Do to defeat Chuck Norris' Karate. At this
point, I couldn't tell you who would be the better martial artist.
Ok... here's the deal: people would rather not hang out wth negative people.
"Mean people" simply repel others, while "Downers" suck the
energy right out of the ones who are close to them.
Leonardobarba's right, though. There's no need to lie about your feelings. If
you're down, say you're down. If you're happy, say you're happy. Whatever you
say, it's usually not a good idea to exaggerate the things that happen in your
life. There's a good chance you'll be respected if you view things in a
realistic perspective.
Also, it's a good idea to laugh at the things that bring you down... laughter is
the best cure for misery.

Wow... tough choice between Byakuya/Kenpachi and Byakuya/Ichimaru. I'd have to
go with the Byakuya/Kenpachi fight (though Ichimaru is my favorite captain). It
has the greatest disparity between pure guts and pure strategy. Plus, I'd like
to see the look on Byakuya's face when none of his zanpakuto techniques or kido
work on Kenpachi. Unfortunately, that fight would probably not happen. Besides a
bit of bad blood, they don't have a reason to fight.
Still, the Ichimaru/Byakuya fight may well happen in Hueco Mundo. They would
both show tremendous zanpakuto and kido skill, most likely with a patronizing
Ichimaru laughing at an infuriated Byakuya.
Ok, how come there isn't just a "I was pleased" option in the polls? I
mean... I was pleased to see that Sasuke left, because:
1- We get to see a Sasuke/Naruto fight (although it was true that Naruto wasn't
fighting to kill)
2- We get to see products of drastically different learning environments
(Orochimaru's Training vs. Jiraiya/Kakashi's Training)
I didn't think it was the right decision on Sasuke's part, but I wanted to see
if giving in to his desires would really make him stronger than Itachi. As for
Sakura... I couldn't care less. It was an infatuation that was never bound to
work.
What is this? Ok. Go to [link removed] Sign up. You can download all chapters at
your liesure at no charge to you. But if you want a spoiler that bad...
****SPOILERS****
During the third stage of the chuunin exam, Orochimaru infiltrates the viewing
booth and attacks the Sandaime Hokage. At the same time, the Hidden Sound
Village launches a full-scale attack on Konoha. The Hidden Leaf Village holds
off the attack while the Hokage locks himself into battle with Orochimaru. In
the end, (and after the showing of impressive Jitsu) the Hokage sacrifices his
life to perform a Jitsu that would seal Orochimaru's arms. Orochimaru's
ambitions were to learn all the jitsu in the world, and destroy Konoha. Hokage
assumed that sealing off Orochimaru's arms would end both ambitions and
eventually kill him.
It shouldn't really matter too much. If one is a part of a school anime
society/club, a guy should be free to watch and discuss any kind of
anime.
Still, Anime can be organized into two categories: Shoujo and Shounen. Shoujo
anime consists of anime appealing to the female gender, i.e. "Boys over
Flowers", "Chobits", "Rozen Maiden", "Fruits
Basket", or any other romantic and drama anime. Shounen anime consists of
anime appealing to the male gender, i.e. "Dragonball",
"Kenshin", "Trigun", "Naruto and Bleach".
Of course, an anime of one gender can appeal to other genders as well. For
example, "Ah! Megami-Sama!" can give love-starved men hope, while
"Prince of Tennis" and "Gundam Wing" fill the screen with
Bishies that women enjoy.
Well, under his mask and such, he's human enough. Embershadow said everything I
was going to say.
Also, there must've been some other reason he was selected to be a captain. What
were the ways to be selected? (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
1 - Take an exam with 1st Captain and two other captains administering (Bankai
req.)
2 - Be nominated by a certain percentage of the other captains (Bankai req.)
3 - Kill a captain in honorable combat, then take his/her place (Bankai
opt.)
Well, Mayuri obviously didn't kill Urahara. So he was selected.
As with any art, Anime can be provocative, shedding light on social and societal
issues in the world. It can be appealing to base desires and very enjoyable to a
wide audience. However, be it intellectually stimulating and viscerally
appealing, Anime is indeed just a cartoon.
Watch it, enjoy it, oggle at it, but don't base your life around it.
I'm Eric, 18, and I came here to look at Anime wallpaper. I look forward to
seeing yours!

Can someone help me find this pic? Thanks!
Athena, because of her SVC Chaos costume, her sailor-moon-ness, and the fact that she wears something different each tournament.
No, it was perfect. Thanks.

Eh... my girlfriend dumped me for a girl. Ain't nothing you can do about it.

They showed it twice. Yeah, none of us saw the Kurosaki Isshin and Ishida Ryuuken thing coming.
I would say Ichimaru and Isshin are the two most interesting characters to me... I wonder how/why Isshin...

I don't believe it's ongoing, as the main website is down.
The main character is Cevn; it's a self-insertion fiction. But keep in mind that Keichii is a hero as well.
